Incinerator Vote

Wed 18th Feb is Incinerator D-Day

A reminder to all that Wed, 18th Feb is our BEST chance to stop the incinerator. We need HUGE numbers of people to come to Shire Hall on 18th Feb ("TRASH Wednesday"..).

The County Council is holding an Extraordinary Meeting, where councillors will vote on scrapping the incinerator contract with UBB. They need to hear our rejection of this incinerator loud and clear!

What Do I Need to Do on 18th Feb?

1) Come and take part in the DEMO - starts 9:20 a.m.- outside Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester.....

** Make a Huge noise outside Shire Hall! **

2) 10:00 - 12:00 - Go into Shire Hall for "Extraordinary Meeting".

Councillors will debate scrapping of contract, GlosVAIN will present its petition, councillors will vote.....

** Be there in huge numbers to witness how our elected councillors vote **

Bring your banners, placards, loud voices, and kids, and help make a big impact.

Key Targets

We expect the Tory councillors to vote in favour of the incinerator. Hence, the deciding votes could well come from the UKIP and Independent councillors.
