There will be a demonstration outside the County Council's offices at Shire Hall in Gloucester from 9:20 a.m. on Tue 2nd Oct.This protest is timed to co-incide with the meeting of the Council's "Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee", which will consider the call-in made by Lib Dem and Labour councillors recently of the Cabinet's decision to award the contract to Urbaser Balfour Beatty...which will expose the council to a £16m compensation clause should planning permission not be granted and hence put undue pressure on the planning committee to grant planning permission...
