A Public Inquiry will be held to hear the case of UBB, who have appealed against the refusal of their incinerator planning application in March 2013. Gloucestershire County Council and other parties will put their case against UBB and in defence of the original refusal decision.
An Inspector, Brian Cook, will hear the cases. He will then write a report with a recommendation as to whether the planning permission should be granted (Appeal is successful) or not. His report will go to the Secretary of State, Eric Pickles, who will make the final decision.
The Inquiry will commence on Tuesday 19 November at 10.00 am. It will potentially run until March, although it could end sooner. See opposite for currently planned sitting dates.
The Inspector is likely to issue his report around July 2014, with a decision from Secretary of State, Eric Pickles potentially in the Autumn.
Hallmark Hotel, Matson Lane, Robinswood Hill, Gloucester GL4 6EA. The actual venue is located in a separate building near to the hotel.
